Team Connected

Addressing the “unsheltered”, and those “one paycheck” away from that condition …

Team Connected | Lakes Region in New Hampshire

Yes! It all begins with an idea. As volunteers, “Team Connected” is presently organized to assist and supplement the efforts of stakeholders (public, private and faith-based) who have genuinely strived to address rapidly increasing populations of human beings who do not have a home in the Lakes Region and surrounding counties. Our vision is presented in a summary “One Sheet” and then a comprehensive PDF Executive Summary which answers many common questions stakeholders may have, Both discuss FREE workshops, which “Team Connected” is poised to offer to individuals and small groups upon request.

An initial; and continuing, focus of our workshops is addressing fears; that is, fears common to all human beings, who confront stresses (both those anticipated … and those which all too often arise without any warning). Those local human beings in New Hampshire who do not have a home (or are “one paycheck away”) clearly face stresses of both types. As well, the “Team Connected” workshops address both temporary and chronic conditions of being without a home; and we address many underlying root fears (stresses) which accompany not having a homes.

Does This Really Work?

We believe the Identity Exchange model chosen for workshops is time tested. In that regard, Identity Exchange reports the following positive statements and caveats:

“… we are committed to equipping you with tools and insights that can help you live in the freedom of your true identity. We’ve done our best to accurately represent how our programs can impact your life, and while we’ve seen remarkable transformation in many, every journey is unique, and we can’t guarantee specific outcomes. We don’t diagnose or treat medical conditions. Instead, we offer an educational approach rooted in ideas, tools, and strategies that we believe work for most people who fully engage. However, these are not a substitute for professional medical advice. Our purpose is to inspire, equip, and walk alongside you as you courageously embrace who you were created to be.”

Team Connected” is NOT formally, or contractually a representative or agent of Identity Exchange. No compensation of any type has been requested or received from Identity Exchange, or its affiliates. “Team Connected” is however grateful for the books, videos, and classes which "Identity Exchange” has made available; and. we look forward to becoming a catalyst in New Hampshire (at some feasible point) within the recently announced “Identity Exchange Network”.

Overcoming Fear.

According to the National Science Foundation the average person has about 12,000 to 60,00 thoughts per day. Of those, 80% are negative and 95% are exactly the same repetitive thoughts as the day before and about 80% negative. Psychology Today, Negative Self-Talk: Don't Let It Overwhelm You There are ways to overcome negative thinking., Posted December 4, 2017.

Is it really possible that most of our fears are learned? Some amount of fear is required for our survival, but most of even those essential fears appear to set in only a little later in life, and by observation of fearful behaviors in adults. Scientists have found that two fears are inborn in humans—the fear of falling, and that of loud noises.

How & WHY do the workshops address fears?

All volunteers with “Team Connected” are provided with many hours of training (ie., long form videos presented by Jamie and Donna Winship who now operate Identity Exchange and who host many of these videos at their YouTube channel. Jeff Thayer, founder of “Team Connected” has read Jamie’s books and watched well-over 40 of these long form videos (presentations and interviews); many several times or more. He has also been mentored in the Identity Method Masterclass.

GOOD ADVICE: When Teaching Others Through Your “True Identity”, First … Find Others of Like Mind … Train with Them … But Do NOT Imitate Them.

One core revelation learned in his first 27 years of “experimenting” with what is now known as “Identity Exchange”; early on in Indonesia, Jamie met with a mentor and was told “not to imitate” him; but to remain in his own, unique “true identity”: He was told, “You cannot give to others what you do not have.” Consequently, that is one of several reasons “Team Connected” is unique; that is, in the approaches presented in the “One Sheet” and in the more comprehensive Executive Summary PDF.

With this good advice in mind, one “Team Connected” core focus is to present; in the context of New Hampshire local people without homes, and to follow-up with attendees on workshops which communicate “high resiliency” skills (ie, those taught to special forces teams, first responders and others in highly stressful vocations).

“… What is psychological resilience training? Psychological resilience training involves techniques and exercises designed to enhance mental toughness, emotional stability, and cognitive flexibility, enabling individuals to cope better with stress and adversity. …”.    https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39808491/

Jamie’s and his wife Donna’s background represent one of several reasons “Team Connected” has optimism about its mission:

Jamie Winship has decades of experience bringing peaceful solutions to some of the world’s highest conflict areas.  After a distinguished career in law enforcement in the metro Washington DC area, Jamie earned an MA in English and developed a unique process called the Identity Method. This process of identity transformation is the key to resolving inner conflict and acquiring new levels of learning and creativity. His unconventional efforts to bring about societal and racial reconciliation led him to Indonesia, Jordan, Iraq, Palestine, Israel and back to the U.S.

Jamie has worked with leaders in professional sports, business, education, law enforcement, government, non-profit (including those addressing the homeless), and other sectors. He is the author of the book Living Fearless. Jamie and his wife, Donna, are co-founders of Identity Exchange, a training and consulting agency that helps individuals and teams discover new levels of creativity and resiliency within the framework of true identity.

Donna Winship left the American dream with her husband, Jamie and their three boys and spent 25 years raising their family in Southeast Asia and the Middle East. This was a journey that would forever change her life.

Living overseas in a predominantly Muslim country, Donna discovered the principles of the Kingdom of God as demonstrated by Jesus and learned to live fearlessly in her true identity. When put into daily practice, these principles result in peace that surpasses understanding and truth that results in genuine freedom – even in an atmosphere of war, terrorism and death.

She has a B.S. in Elementary Education and Seminary Training and has worked as a teacher and an elementary principal. Donna is the co-author of the Knowing RediscoveredBecoming What You Believe and Identity Method courses on personal transformation at the identity level.

Jamie and Donna have worked with leaders in professional sports, business, education, law enforcement, government, non-profit and other sectors. They are co-founders of Identity Exchange, an agency providing training and consulting in the transformative power of living fearlessly in one’s true identity.

Live Fearless.

The workshops are described in much greater detail in the “One Sheet” summary, as well as the more extensive PDF Executive Summary. For those who have questions, please email us at the link (bottom of page) and we will respond promptly.
